EINAR H JENSEN

Former Ambassador, Embassy of Denmark in Korea

Einar Jensen, Ambassador of Denmark to the Republic of Korea, is a seasoned Danish civil servant with an extensive career in public service. He holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, having studied economics and law at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen.

Ambassador Jensen began his career at the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, where he later served as an adviser to two Ministers of the Environment. In 2006, he was appointed Ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh. From 2010 to 2015, he served as Head of Department for Humanitarian Action, Development Policy, and Social Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was subsequently appointed Ambassador to Tanzania, with accreditation to Zambia, Malawi, Mauritius, and the East African Community.

In September 2019, he was appointed Ambassador of Denmark to the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Throughout his career, Ambassador Jensen has maintained a strong and enduring interest in development policy, agricultural development, and sustainability, with a particular emphasis on broad partnerships, good governance, and institutional improvement.
